Logo Cookies: Which Should You Choose?
If you're ordering custom logo cookies for a corporate event, client gift, grand opening, conference, or employee celebration, one of the first decisions you'll make is how you want your logo added to the cookie.
At ATX Cookies, we offer two options: edible printed logos and hand-piped designs.
Both look great. Both are completely edible. And both start with a hand-iced cookie.
So, what's the difference?
First, What Is an Edible Printed Logo Cookie?
Don't worry. We're not putting a piece of paper on your cookie.
We start by baking and hand-icing each cookie with a smooth royal icing background. Once the icing is ready, your logo is printed onto the cookie using edible ink.
Think of it as a tiny edible printer designed specifically for food.
The biggest advantage is accuracy.
If your company has a detailed logo, specific fonts, multiple colors, gradients, or small design elements, edible printing allows us to recreate the branding much more precisely.
This makes printed cookies a great option for:
Corporate events
Conferences and trade shows
Product launches
Client gifts
Employee appreciation
Grand openings
PR and influencer boxes
Detailed or multicolor logos
If maintaining the exact look of your brand is the priority, printing is usually our recommendation.
What About Hand-Piped Logo Cookies?
This is where we break out the piping bags.
With a hand-piped cookie, your logo or design is recreated by hand using royal icing. Every line, letter, and detail is individually piped onto the cookie.
The result has that classic, handcrafted custom-cookie look people love.
Hand piping works especially well for simple logos, bold lettering, monograms, icons, and designs with only a few colors.
Because we're working with icing rather than a printer, extremely small details or complicated logos may need to be simplified slightly.
And that's part of the charm.
No two hand-piped cookies will ever be exactly identical because they're genuinely made by hand.
So... Which One Should You Choose?
Here's our easiest rule:
Choose edible printing when brand accuracy matters most.
Choose hand piping when you want a more handcrafted cookie aesthetic.
For example, if you're ordering 100 cookies for a corporate conference and need your company logo to look exactly like it does on your marketing materials, we'd recommend edible printing.
If your logo is a simple wordmark or icon and you love the dimensional look of royal icing, hand piping may be perfect.
And sometimes we can even combine techniques to create the best of both worlds.
Do Printed Cookies Still Look Handmade?
Absolutely.
The cookie itself is still baked, iced, and finished by hand. Printing simply gives us another decorating tool for creating detailed designs.
You'll still receive a custom sugar cookie with a hand-iced royal icing base. The difference is that we're using edible ink for the detailed logo rather than recreating every element with a piping bag.
Does One Option Cost More?
For our standard corporate logo cookies, there is typically no price difference between edible printing and hand-piped designs.
We'll recommend the technique that makes the most sense based on your logo, quantity, colors, and the overall look you're trying to achieve.
Not sure which one you need? That's completely fine.
Send us your logo when requesting a quote, and we'll help you determine which decorating method will give you the best result.
There's something pretty fun about seeing your company logo on a cookie for the first time.
Whether you're welcoming attendees to a conference, thanking employees, celebrating a company milestone, sending gifts to clients, or launching something new, custom logo cookies give you a branded experience people can actually enjoy.
And unlike another branded pen...
Nobody leaves a cookie sitting in a desk drawer for three years.
